Pocket Music

Interactive Garnment

When you have to wait for your bus, you may start clapping on your pockets. In this project, your pockets are turned into musical ones. Put your hands inside to start a background music and drop some kicks by pressing different parts of the pocket.

Using conductive fabrics, Arduino and Processing, Pietro Alberti and I created a small music program and a controller. This video showcases an early prototype, the pockets are sewn on a belt.  

This project was made during a one week workshop with Hannah Perner-Wilson at ECAL, Switzerland.
